Admission requirements
Matriculated secondary school. Until the establishment of the State Matriculate, enrolment procedure will be realized through:
- test in mathematics and physics
- evaluating secondary school grades
The applicant may acquire at most 1010 points in the following way:
1. success in secondary school, at most 390 points
2. special activities, at most 20 points
3. classification exam in mathematics and physics, at most 600 points.
Ad1. Success in secondary school is evaluated in the following way:
a) One adds the final grades of each year of secondary school, the grade of final exam and the mathematics and physics grades for all 4 years of secondary school. If the applicant did not have to take the final exam it is assumed the grade is excellent.
For the applicants that did not have mathematics/physics in every year of secondary school, for the year when they did not have it, the average grade of the years when they had it is taken.
b) The obtained sum is multiplied with 6. The highest number of points is 13x5x6=390.
Ad2. Special activities are evaluated in the following way:
a) The knowledge of the third foreign language brings 10 points
b) Participation at the state competition in mathematics or physics brings 10 points.
Ad3. Classification exam verifies the knowledge of mathematics and physics according to the program of the general gymnasium. In the exam student can acquire at most 300 points in mathematics part and 300 points in physics part of the exam.
The right to direct enrolment
The applicants who have won one of the first three prizes at the state competition or have participated in international mathematics or physics olympiads do not need to take the classification exam and have a right to enrol directly.
Applicants with the right of direct enrolment are inscribed at the top of the list according to the number of won first prizes, or, in case of the equal number of prizes, according to the sum of points from Ad.1 and Ad.2.
